❌ Why Jamaat-e-Islami Should Never Be Allowed Back in Power

In Bangladesh’s fractured political landscape, where democratic values have long been undermined by authoritarian control and corruption, many citizens are searching for honest leadership rooted in ethics and principle. Some turn their eyes toward Jamaat-e-Islami, a party claiming to uphold Islamic values. But let us be absolutely clear: Jamaat is not a solution — it is a reflection of the same political disease that plagues our nation.

🧠 A Shadow of Awami Fascism — Not an Alternative

Jamaat often paints itself as a pious alternative to the corrupt and authoritarian Awami League. But in practice, Jamaat mimics the same fascist tactics:

  • Absolute party loyalty over truth

  • Political violence and intolerance

  • Blind support of elite figures for power gain

  • Exploitation of religion for votes

What we’re witnessing is not Islamic revival — it’s Islamic branding used for power politics, just as the Awami League uses the Liberation War for endless re-election.

💸 The Hypocrisy of Supporting Sudkhor Dr. Yunus

One of the most outrageous contradictions is Jamaat’s silent or indirect support for Dr. Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel laureate known for microcredit — and for interest-based (riba) financial operations, which are clearly haram (forbidden) in Islam.

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:275): “Those who devour interest cannot stand except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan... Allah has permitted trade and forbidden interest.”

Despite this clear Quranic command, Jamaat has remained silent — or worse, aligned with global economic elites who praise Dr. Yunus. If Jamaat truly stood for Islam, it would never stand by a sudkhor (usurer) or benefit from his Western-backed agenda.

🕌 Jamaat Is Not Representing Islam — It’s Representing Power

Islam stands for:

  • Justice (adl)

  • Compassion (rahmah)

  • Accountability (hisab)

  • Freedom from oppression (zulm)

Jamaat, however, has a record of:

  • Supporting genocide in 1971

  • Practicing fascist internal control

  • Making shady political alliances

  • Misusing Islamic rhetoric while violating Islamic ethics

This is not Khilafah. This is Kufr in the disguise of faith, and power-hungry politics masked as piety.

🔥 Political Islam ≠ Islamic Politics

We must distinguish between Islamic values and political Islam:

  • One is about truth and service to people.

  • The other is about using the Quran as a slogan to climb the throne.

Jamaat falls into the latter. It is no different from Awami League in its desire for unchecked power, its compromise with haram systems, and its betrayal of public trust.

✅ Conclusion: Reject the Two Faces of Fascism

Whether it's Awami League waving the flag of freedom or Jamaat quoting the Quran, both are playing the same dangerous game — power without principle.

We, the people of Bangladesh, deserve:

  • Honest leadership, not hypocrites

  • Justice, not party fascism

  • True Islamic values, not riba-supporting “Islamic” slogans

Let’s say it clearly:
👉 Jamaat should never come to power.
👉 It is not a defender of Islam — it is a political tool hijacking Islam.
